Over time, due to factors like age and genetics, this natural renewal can slow down. A peel enhances this exfoliation, revealing smoother, more radiant skin. If a chemical peel is not desired, an enzyme exfoliation is also available to gently remove dead, superficial skin layers, offering a milder alternative. Achieving clear skin is a commitment that includes diligent home care and regular treatments. Success also depends on carefully following aftercare instructions.
While the term "chemical peel" might sound intimidating, there’s no need to worry. Peels come in various strengths, from a light superficial exfoliation, which removes only dead skin cells with no downtime (such as the one used in our Full Treatment), to medium and deeper peels that target more layers for a more pronounced resurfacing effect. Note: The extent of peeling may vary, and there are no guarantees regarding the amount of skin shedding.
Chemical peels can help address several skin concerns, including acne by drying out deep impactions to make them easier to extract, reducing fine lines and scarring, lightening dark spots, and improving the overall health of aging skin. By signing this form, I acknowledge my consent to the chemical peel procedure if recommended.
I understand that side effects such as redness, irritation, hyperpigmentation, or hypopigmentation may occur after the peel, which could last for weeks or months. These effects will improve by following the post-care instructions provided.
I also understand that ongoing maintenance peels are needed to sustain the results achieved. The frequency and depth of these treatments will depend on individual factors, including genetics, age, and lifestyle. These services are cosmetic in nature and non-refundable.
